Skyfall was, by far, the best Bond movie I’ve seen yet. Mostly because the movie allowed something the other movies never have: a deep look into 007’s past. It allowed the audience to experience interesting character moments and, later on, context for those moments. The former was certainly nothing new, but it was nice to finally experience a little of the latter. The reboot they’ve done with the Craig movies helped make this move possible, and it makes me wonder if the franchise wouldn’t be better off if they reboot the character every other decade or so to give the storytellers more freedom.
