I’m finally getting around to posting the pics from Comic Expo a few weeks ago.  This was a fun convention, with a lot of indie talent that I was delighted to meet.  And, of course, it had gobs of friendly people dressed up as characters from all four corners of geekdom …

Best Marvel Team-Up ever.

Doesn’t need Mario to rescue her this week.

A Dr. Fate that snapped to this pose with impressive speed and precision.

An ironically adorable Freddy.

I asked her if I could take her picture.  To which she appropriately replied, “Shoe’a!”

Had no idea what this one was.  But I knew I had to include it.

I’d been writing Ms. Mystick so much, that I totally–and embarrassingly–blanked on Z’s name that day.

Wished I’d thought to ask her what she thought about Into Darkness.

And the awesome costume that firmly ensconced Huey Lewis and the News in my head for the rest of the day.

If you had said to me back in 2008 that the SHIELD dude from the first Iron Man flick would get his own TV show, I would have said you were crazy.  If you had said that the show would be awesome, I would have said you were insane.  If you had said it would be created by Joss Whedon, I would have said “Oh, well–never mind then.  It will be awesome.”

And it was.

If you’re a geek (and let’s face it, if you’re reading these blog posts, you probably are) do yourself a favor: watch Agents of SHIELD if you haven’t already.  It’s not Firefly good, but the only thing you can really compare episodes of Firefly to are other episodes of Firefly.

Superheroes in Prose Volume Six, I Pink is now available on Amazon.  You can check it out by clicking here.

In other things Sevan Paris related, I want to thank BPSwanson for being one of several people calling me out for lack of regular blog updates.  I’ve been up to my eyeballs in Superheroes in Prose projects (announcements to come forthwith) as well as hammering out the details for a new series.  But none of these things are possible without the readers that read, and if the readers that read want updates, then–by God–the readers that read will get updates.

But, it’s more than that.  These posts also help me reaffirm were I stand on issues, reevaluate other ones, and explore new ideas.  It’s a healthy thing to do that, quiet simply, just needs to be freaking done.

So, here I am, taking the proverbial leaf and turning it over: A minimum of one new post by the Friday of every week.
