I’ve mostly enjoyed the Star Wars Clone Wars series, but my biggest problem always comes back to the same thing: No matter how good each triumph over the the droid army makes us feel, it’s eventually going to be a hollow victory. Sooner or later, Palpatine is going to send his troops in to kick everybody’s ass to Tatooine and back. It makes it difficult to allow myself to have a significant emotional investment. The only thing I’ve let myself have a stake in is Ashoka … and I can’t see it ending well for her either.
